At Flower Preservations Ireland, passion meets craftsmanship to immortalise the beauty of nature’s most exquisite creations. Roxy is the super talented face lady behind the business and she is deeply passionate about flowers and their wonders. She has dedicated herself to growing, preserving and transforming these beautiful blooms into forever keepsakes that capture their essence.

Her journey into flower preservation began with a deeply personal quest – her desire to immortalize the beauty of her own wedding bouquet. Having been unable to find a preservationist, she embarked on a journey of self-taught mastery and Flower Preservations Ireland was born! – a true testament to Roxy’s unwavering dedication to preserving the essence of life’s most cherished moments. Each of her beautiful keepsakes is crafted with love, with over 50 steps involved, allowing couples to hold onto those special memories for a lifetime.

Here, the lovely Roxy tells us all a bride needs to know if they are considering preserving their bouquets.

1. Why should a bride preserve her flowers?

Your wedding bouquet is one of the most sentimental details from your day, but fresh flowers won’t last forever. Your flowers, your husband, and your rings are the 3 things you will see daily from your wedding. Preserving them lets you hold onto that piece of your wedding, turning it into something you can display and cherish for years. Whether it’s a table piece, jewellery, or a ring holder, it’s a beautiful way to keep the memories close.

2. Can all flowers be preserved?

Most flowers can be preserved, but some hold up better than others. Chrysanthemums, Lilies, and Magnolia are particularly tricky as they don’t always dry well or can react unpredictably in resin. On the other hand, Anemones, Peonies, Roses, Ranunculus, and Delphinium are some of the best flowers to preserve, maintaining their shape and colour beautifully. If you’re unsure about specific flowers, I’m happy to advise on the best options!

3. Why should a bride preserve her flowers in resin rather than a pressed frame?

It comes down to preference! Resin allows you to keep the three-dimensional shape of your flowers, giving them a more natural look, while a pressed frame creates a more traditional, flat keepsake. Resin also offers more flexibility in designs, from jewellery to sculptural pieces.

4. How far in advance do you recommend a bride should book with you?

I recommend booking as soon as possible, ideally a few months before your wedding. Since I only take on a limited number of bookings at a time, securing your spot early ensures I can preserve your bouquet at its freshest.

5. How does a bride get her flowers to you?

You can drop your flowers off to me, or you can post them if you’re not local. I’ll provide detailed instructions on the best way to package them to keep them in the best possible condition.

6. Do you offer a collection service, say if a bride is leaving immediately for her honeymoon etc.?

Yes! I offer a collection service within the Leinster area and can also arrange collection with DPD if needed. If you’re heading off straight after your wedding, a family member or friend can coordinate the collection on your behalf.

7. What is the turnaround time on the pieces?

Turnaround time is typically 8–12 months. Resin preservation is a delicate process that involves multiple layers, curing times, and careful design work to ensure your flowers are preserved beautifully. I take the time needed to create a high-quality, lasting keepsake.

8. Can a bride request a custom piece/design?

Absolutely! Every bouquet is different, so I love working with brides to design something unique to them. Whether it’s a specific shape, a combination of items, or an idea you have in mind, I’m happy to bring it to life.

9. Can you add non-flower items such as ribbons, beads or charms etc.?

Yes! I can incorporate elements like ribbons, lace, charms, and even small keepsakes to make your piece even more personal. Just let me know what you’d like included, and I’ll do my best to incorporate it seamlessly into the design.

10. Can you recreate a bride’s bouquet if she missed the chance to preserve her original flowers?

Yes! If you didn’t get the chance to preserve your bouquet, I can source similar flowers to recreate it as closely as possible. This is a lovely option for anniversary gifts or simply for those who didn’t know about flower preservation at the time.

11. Why should a bride choose you when looking to preserve her flowers?

You should choose me if you appreciate the love and care that went into growing the very flowers you held walking down the aisle—from the hands that nurtured them as tiny seeds to the florists who arranged them into the bouquet you carefully chose. If your bridal flowers were more than just decoration, but a reflection of your style, story, and emotions, then preserving them is the perfect way to honour that meaning. I take great care to ensure your flowers remain the star of the piece, creating a lasting reminder of your special day. I will also check in with you regularly—you are not just a name on my book list, but someone I truly want to connect with to bring your vision to life. I’ll give you the attention you need, I don’t charge extra for mock design, and I genuinely work with you to create something you’ll want to look at every day.
