“He’s A Force Of Nature – Putting It Lightly.” – Hot Press

Fin Furey was born into a musical family, where the passion for music has been passed down through generations. Son of Finbar Furey, of Irish folk band The Fureys, Fin was raised on ballads of freedom, tales of ancient battles, songs of love, heartbreak, and of course, our beautiful Emerald Isle. His musical family had a saying, “music is to bring people together, not separate people.”

Joining the ranks of Damien Dempsey, Amble, and Kingfishr, Fin Furey’s mastery of blending traditional folk storytelling with the energetic pulse of Irish trad music, fused with rock instruments, sees him creating a dynamic and invigorating sound, and he has shared the stage with Damien Dempsey himself, as well as The Pogues, Glen Hansard, The Waterboys, and more.

“Imagine the sonic offspring of Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan, The Dubliners, and The Fureys, and you will resonate with Fin’s marriage of sound.” – Punk Head

When it comes to weddings, Fin has a number of live performance options for couples to choose from. As a solo act, Fin brings a dynamic solo performance, blending soulful Irish ballads and high energy tunes, featuring some original songs and reimagined classics. His most recent single “Japanese Death Poems” featured on RTE Radio 1’s Top 10 for four weeks and received airplay in Ireland, the UK, Germany, the USA and Canada.

As a duo act, Fin offers two options.

Option 1 features Fin performing an energetic set with his cousin Connor Furey, switching between mandolin, guitars, and banjo. The set blends Irish trad, original songs, reimagined classics, and high-energy sing-alongs, as well as dance classic mash-ups.

(Great for wedding parties and Day 2 events)

Option 2 includes a violin/fiddle accompaniment, bringing a rich, soulful depth to the performance. The blend of Irish trad, heartfelt ballads, and contemporary tunes creates a warm, intimate atmosphere, while also lifting the mood with lively, celebratory energy.

(Great for drink receptions and Day 2 events)

As a trio, Fin also offers two options.

Option 1 includes a violin/fiddle player, resulting in a rich, versatile performance spanning traditional Irish ballads, soulful folk, modern music, and lively trad. The trio adapt their performance based on the setting, whether it be a relaxed drinks reception, or a lively, high energy celebration.

Option 2 consists of the duo plus percussion. Adding a skilled percussionist with cymbals, chimes and shakers, and adapting to any atmosphere, they cover a wide range of songs, taking requests and tailoring their performance to the crowd.

Quite often, Fin is booked for a drinks reception as a solo or duo, and then again as a trio or full band for the wedding party or Day 2, and he encourages couples to ask about discounts, and they are more affordable than most wedding bands.

“Words don’t do justice for what an incredible gig Fin and the lads put on. So much fun, so much craic, and the pub was on wheels! Every song from start to finish had some very sore heads up and dancing. It really made Day 2 as special and fun as the actual wedding. I wouldn’t think twice about getting these guys for any event. Just WOW!!” – Conor
