Planning a wedding with your dog as part of the celebration can make your big day truly unforgettable. As the founder of Pawsome Companion, I know how special it is to include your furry family members. I’m Fiona Hartley, a passionate dog lover with a background in dog care and canine first aid. My business offers a unique service that ensures your pet is a safe, happy, and stress-free part of your wedding day.
How Pawsome Companion Works
My chaperone service is designed to handle everything your dog needs on your wedding day, so you can enjoy every moment without worry. The day typically starts with me collecting your dog in the morning. We begin with a gentle walk to help them feel calm and comfortable before heading to a pre-booked grooming appointment to get them photo-ready. From there, I bring your dog to the wedding venue, ensuring they’re perfectly timed to fulfill their role—whether walking down the aisle, posing for photos, or simply being there to greet you at the reception.
When the festivities wind down, I can safely take your dog to their overnight accommodation, where they can rest after a day full of excitement and love. With my experience and personalized approach, couples can feel confident that their pets will be cared for as lovingly as if they were my own.
Why Couples Love Our Service
For many couples, their pet is an integral part of their lives and their love story. Yet, managing a pet during a wedding—when everyone is busy and emotions are high—can be challenging. I created Pawsome Companion to give couples peace of mind, knowing their dog is looked after by a professional with experience, compassion, and the right skills.
Practical Tips for Including Your Dog in Your Wedding
At Pawsome Companion, we also offer helpful advice to couples looking to include their dogs in their weddings. Here are a few of our top tips:
Choose Safe Attire: If dressing up your dog, consider using a harness rather than just a collar. Dogs may be more excitable on the big day, and a harness gives better control and comfort.
Practice with Their Outfit: Let your dog try on any new attire in advance, and take them for a walk to ensure they feel comfortable.
Coordinate Colors: When choosing accessories, consider your wedding palette so your dog’s lead, bow tie, or flower collar looks beautiful in photos.
Seasonal Fabrics: Keep your dog comfortable with weather-appropriate materials. Lightweight fabrics are great for summer, while cozier options work well for winter weddings.
Making Every Wedding Unique
Every couple has a unique vision for their big day, and we love helping bring that vision to life. Pawsome Companion customizes each service to fit the couple’s specific wishes for their pet, ensuring that your dog’s role enhances the special moments of your wedding.
