MC Wedding Music Cavan gets its name from Michael Meehan and Carmel McGearty who have been working together since the beginning of 2023.
Michael has been singing from an early age where he started as a solo chorister in Cavan Cathedral boys choir before joining the local Senior choir so has a wealth of experience when it comes to performing in public.
Carmel McGearty is a classically trained music teacher working in Lorretto College in Cavan. Carmel has been performing at weddings for over 16 years and brings a phenomenal knowledge of music to MC Wedding Music.
While keyboard and piano are the more common instruments she plays, she also plays violin and banjo bringing more options for couples getting married to choose from.

We were so delighted MC Wedding Music were available to play at the drinks reception of our wedding in the Four Seasons Hotel Monaghan on 28th December! From day one Michael and Carmel were amazing. Michael sang the first song as I walked down the aisle in the chapel too and it was absolutely beautiful. Everything I hoped it would be and more! Michael and Carmel were happy to play any songs we requested but we didn't even have to ask - they entertained our guests for the afternoon and created a fabulous, welcoming atmosphere. So many of our guests commented on the beautiful music at the drinks reception and myself and Declan can't commend them highly enough. MC wedding music played at our wedding drinks reception at Castle Leslie. We were lucky enough to have our drink’s reception in the beautiful gardens. The music was great, really added to the atmosphere of the day and set the tone for our reception. We had so many compliments from our guests. Their repertoire was impressive. Micheal and Carmel was very responsive to all of our requests, and communicated well in advance of our wedding. My husband and I would wholly recommend MC wedding music to any other couples.
