Josiah Adegboyega, also known as Saxy J Music, is an award winning saxophonist based in London, who has over 22 years experience in live event performances. He is committed to creating a relaxed atmosphere for you and your guests, captivating all with music from a wide range of genres such as smooth jazz, rhythm and blues, Afro pop, and folk.
From the moment he heard the captivating melodies of Kenny G on the radio, Josiah was filled with elation, and a burning desire to master the saxophone, just like his musical idol. Driven by his deep love for music, he has totally devoted himself to the art of creating and playing beautiful melodies, and with each note he plays, his aim is to channel emotions, tell stories and touch hearts.
With over 18 years experience playing across Africa and the UK, Josiah has established himself as a versatile saxophone player. His journey began when he was a part of some international bands based in Nigeria, where he had the privilege of performing in diverse locations, all around the world. Having honed his skills through these incredible experiences, Josiah eventually embarked on his solo career, where he could explore his own unique musical identity and connect intimately with his audiences.
Inspired by his solo adventures, Josiah eventually decided to gather a group of talented musicians, uniting their individual passions and skills to form one exceptional band. Together, they create an unforgettable music experience, fusing their diverse backgrounds with the vibrant rhythms of Africa and the captivating melodies of the UK, to captivate audiences with a cocktail of sounds that transcends boundaries and resonates with people from all walks of life.
