MC Wedding Music Cavan gets its name from Michael Meehan and Carmel McGearty who have been working together since the beginning of 2023.
Michael has been singing from an early age where he started as a solo chorister in Cavan Cathedral boys choir before joining the local Senior choir so has a wealth of experience when it comes to performing in public.
Carmel McGearty is a classically trained music teacher working in Lorretto College in Cavan. Carmel has been performing at weddings for over 16 years and brings a phenomenal knowledge of music to MC Wedding Music.
While keyboard and piano are the more common instruments she plays, she also plays violin and banjo bringing more options for couples getting married to choose from.

I cannot recommend Michael and Carmel enough, from the moment I contacted MC Music they have been nothing but fantastic with quick replies and even with recommendations of music. I booked MC Music for our wedding ceremony and drinks reception, they were dedicated, efficient and exceeded my expectations, they were very accommodating when i changed a song at the last minute. MC wedding music played at our wedding drinks reception at Castle Leslie. We were lucky enough to have our drink’s reception in the beautiful gardens. The music was great, really added to the atmosphere of the day and set the tone for our reception. We had so many compliments from our guests. Their repertoire was impressive. Micheal and Carmel was very responsive to all of our requests, and communicated well in advance of our wedding. My husband and I would wholly recommend MC wedding music to any other couples. "We were not prepared for the level of amazing that Michael and Carmel would bring to our wedding! They were so accommodating and learnt the exact prices we dreamt of for our ceremony and timed my walk up the carpet and 'Sting-Shape of my heart' PERFECTLY...(not a dry eye in the room) The standard of musicians was beyond our expectations, and as a Music BA scholar myself, I am not easily impressed. They captured the mood of the night before in a wonderful, gentle, quiet way, adding to the expectations that lay ahead for our big wedding day in Virginia Park Lodge. They carried the buzz of our reception while we had all the photos taken and stayed to learn a little more about us during the speeches...and the possibly the most special part for us was Carmel accompanied my father who played the violin while Alex and myself entered the dining hall as Husband and Wife and completely blew it out the water!
