About
Andrew Harding plays at wedding ceremonies, dinner receptions, night-time entertainment and at day two parties all over the country, and plays as a solo performer, with other instrumentalists and with nationally renowned wedding bands.
Andrew’s main package is piano or organ music at wedding ceremonies, and piano at receptions.
He also offers vocals with piano music at ceremonies, receptions and day after parties
In addition, Andrew is occasionally asked to perform ceremony music with singers or instrumentalists who are friends of the bride or groom, and will rehearse with these performers an hour before the ceremony. His familiarity with various types of ceremonies helps to put these performers at ease, who may not have performed at weddings before.
Andrew is a highly accomplished pianist, singer and organist. He holds the Associate of the Royal Irish Academy of Music (ARIAM) in piano, and has taught piano for almost ten years, including in the King’s Hospital School.
Andrew’s diverse musical background has built his proficiency in classical, choral, jazz, pop, rock, blues, soundtrack and religious music and a range of other genres. He is equally comfortable playing sheet music and learning by ear, which equips him for playing a wide range of events. He holds a First Class Honours degree in Music from Maynooth University, including firsts in Performance. During his time in college, he gained vast experience accompanying singers and other instrumentalists on piano, which helps him to pull together beautiful renditions alongside other performers at weddings even with very short rehearsal time.
He was also a singer in the Choir of the World winning Maynooth University Chamber Choir for each of his three years in college, winning each competition that they entered in Feis Ceoil. He has also sung in bands in college, and with wedding bands, both as a lead singer and backing vocalist.
He has completed the Archbishop’s Certificate in Church Music (ACCM), and plays the organ for weddings, funerals and church services. He also runs choirs, and his experience teaching choristers their lines and accompanying singers makes him very comfortable working with other instrumentalists at weddings. Every organ is different, and Andrew’s experience playing at churches all across the country for Masses, services and wedding ceremonies uniquely places him to coax the best sound out of any organ he plays, regardless of location.
